MP40W cleaning time

so what is everyone using to clean their MP40W Stream pumps and how often are you cleaning them.... is there a special way to soak them.:question:

I think EcoTech recommends soaking the wet side in a mild vinegar solution overnight every six months or so. I've had mine for just over a year and all I've done is occasionally scrub the wet side components with a brush in left over water change water. About once a month I do that. The propeller cage or housing gets buildup with a few spots of coralline even on the propeller, but a toothbrush takes care of it. Haven't done the vinegar solution soak yet.

I soak mine in vinegar. It works well for the coralline.. elbow grease and a toothbrush for the rest.
