I can't believe this...... :frown:

Barry has been home the last few days doing the deck, but he is so careful about gates....

We have notified all the appropriate authorities we can tonite.

The adopted greyhound is a real challenge. He is probably halfway to Arizona.

Oh Em! That totally sucks!! Is he a friendly dog? Maybe he is hanging out with the family down the street.

I hope you find him soon!! http://www.mysmilie.de/smilies/traurig/2/img/014.gif

Thanks Christy.....we hope so...we have a sign out on the post for all the dog walkers out in the AM..

Our neighbor, upon asking if he had seen Simon, said.....

"yeah, I have a dog too...nope haven't seen him...."

Friendly neighbors in Calgary. Lots of Flanders...

P.S. Of course we have contacted Animal Services, the Humane Society, and the only 24hr vet in the city...

Thanks all, the bad thing is the greyhound doesn't have any homing instinct for us.........maybe for Arizona....

They are sight hounds for the most part. No, it has never happened before, he has been here six years now. Always leashed (such comes with the adoption).

We have the carnivore sound thing they used on the track. So that is what we are using when we walked/drove tonite.

Simon has returned from his adventure ! We just picked him up in Cochrane.......

No, he didn't run there  Turns out the person who found him called Greyhound Rescue there, and they came and picked him up. They were able to trace us through our vet, as there are only a couple who specialize in greyhounds.

So Simon spent the night with a few really attractive female greyhounds.
