Any ideas?

From this:

over a couple of months. It's more the PomPom type (thick stock), Alk: 9dKH, CA: 410ppm, pH: 8.3. No problems with the other sofites or stonies and the other Xenia (xenia elongata?) is still growing like a weed (below).

use activated carbon

check your water. when i first started mine used to do that and it turned out to be salinity

that was one of my first corals. it died and i found out it was due to temperature Sensitivity . i run a 20 And was having spikes over 80-82 F. it melted away. thats my thought.

Have you added Lugols Iodine? It will shrink/kill xenia. As far as I know other Iodine's are okay.?? Not sure but I tried the Lugols and it was an immediate reaction.
