Just remember to have some sort of cover over your tank as they are all known jumpers, I've had a Blue spotted for a couple of years now and still one of my favorites. Also the BSJ like to borrow and make a mess of your aquascpaping. I made a little cave for mine out of PVC pipe and glued some rock around the one open end and burried the rest of it. He loved it right away, he still digs around every now and then but it sure cut down on the mess he was making all the time. Enjoy these fish :)

Yup a cover is a must for both of these fish without exception. The bluespots usually hide for a while before they let you see them. Unless it's dried up on the floor or lost in the overflow, it's still in the tank somewhere; I don't advise going to look for him. That wuold just freak it out more and might even injure it. Did you make an artificial burrow for the bluespot? Apparently if you do that, they will make less sandstorms during their bouts of construction.

these fishes are my fav reefsafe and achilles tang obviously, I bought them all (3 of them) at once is because I had an argument with my partner, lol but it worked out great, I luv them. now due to cover, I dont have neither of my tanks, but my 90G has a custumade hood its around 17 inches hight I dont think he(BSJ) could jump that height the only thing I can do is make something to cover my overflow. now the pair of Helfrich's goby are in my 29 biocube in which has its own cover but again the over flow is open. my question is what do you guys use as cover for overflow?

I know there was a good on NR about closing off the overflow area on biocubes. Might be worth diggin for? It wasn't anything real complicated, just cutting a piece of acrylic to the correct size and siliconing it into the lid. To make seal the piece against the actual overflow when the lid is closed, flexible airline tubing was siliconed in place along the length of the acrylic piece. at least, i think that's how it went.

nope. lol, it was a long time ago. well, with a bit of DIY skills, I'm sure one could rig something up along those lines...
