Well, two weeks ago I went over to Vancouver to pick up my gauges, solenoid, co2 tank, from Wendel... and maybe score a reactor. ARM was on sale too at J&L.

Wendel from OceanAquatics set me up with this whole package. This is made from the DIY kits he is selling. I am very happy with this reactor. Already my levels have stabled off at 400 Ca and 12dkh, far better than the 230 Ca and 9dkh I was struggling to maintain with full strength kalk 24/7. I'm running it gravity fed which works great.

I highly reccomend this reactor. Thanks Wendel!

Thanks for the kind words Jack.

The foam on the top is to ensure that the reactor media will not plug up the outflow which is located on the top of the unit.

Works for me and doesnt alter the flow or the consumption of media.

is this a "UP" flow Wendel?

Steve

Not sure what you mean by "UP" Flow.

The water is circulating up the 1/2" PVC from the pump, and the water is exiting from the top.

I am talking about your recirc with your pump with the blue lines on it.
is the recirulating water flowing up through the media or down through it?

Down through the media.

Ah, new designs and new curiosity building. I have to scratch my head for a few days
Looks like some pretty good acrylic work and ideas. How long has the test run been going?
