It looks as if he has been kicked out of the carpet anemone by the female and has gone back to the old bubbletip

I think he might have been getting too close to one of the female chromis!

LOL...

No but seriously since I rearranged my tank to get everything ready to sell, the clowns can't seem to decide what to host in. All day long they go back and forth between the carpet, the bubbletip and a torch coral. In the past I never even saw them leave the bubbletip for more than a few seconds.

Is this normal? Why can't they decide? Or are they claiming them all as their homes?

Last night though it was odd to see the male sleeping in the bubbletip and the female in the big carpet all alone

I have no answer for you, but I can add that our male and female clown host both a pagoda coral and a hammer coral that are pretty close together. I bought a bubble tip for them and put it below the pagoda, but they haven't quite clued in yet. They'll probably go there eventually, but still keep the other 2 corals as their summer homes. Go figure!?!

It took forever for my clowns to stop hosting on the side of my wavebox and finally go to the bubbletip but it took a matter of hours for them to move to the carpet. They do move between a few hosts but seem to still spend a majority of the time in the carpet.

They are actually back together since this morning. But I am pretty sure the male slept in the bubbletip last night.

I have some pictures and will upload them in a minute.

I really wish I had a macro lens to get some close ups! Or even just a better lens to get some more depth of field and a sharper shot...

Or maybe it's just me not knowing how to use this thing.

Anyways...back together.

I love that carpet! Beautiful color.

Yeah its really beautiful. What the camera doesn't pick up is that it almost has a slight glow to it when you see it in person.

Only a week now though, so a ways to go before I know for sure its going to make it long term. But so far so good. It seems to be very happy. It does have a move coming up in a few days though to my Solana, so we will see how that goes. Should be ok. Everything is coming from the big tank including most of the water. Lighting is different though. Bluer! I bet it will look even better under the Phoenix 14K's I have for that tank.
