3 goals and three penalties...... can't blame kipper for everything... talk about a melt down early... still lots of game left.

God I hope that they can pull it out here. It would be a great series to see Calgary send Vancouver packing. Watching Chicago do it wouldn't be nearly as much fun!!:twised:

Well, that was a pretty "crappy" effort! Most lopsided period of the series. I guess the Flames are afraid of playing Vancouver in the next round.

A very sad effort! The entire team sucked all the way from Kipper to Iggy.

Pardy was the only one who showed up to play. He made the goal happen and he tried to fight some one way out of his league.
Very frustrating as a fan when you have a team sport and they all show no effort.

I will agree with that! He was the only guy who showed any spirit tonight.

I think that these last 5 playoff games have been just a recap of the Flames season.
On one night they can beat anyone and look like Champions.
and
On another night they couldn't beat a PeeWee team.
It has been a long and frustrating season for you Flames fans starting with the season opener.
Stay tuned to see which team shows up for game 6.

I agree. Regehr is a great when healthy, but Phaneuf has had an off year and the rest of the blueliners aren't much IMO.

I am not making excuses for the big guns on the team, but I have hunch that Langkow, Bourke and Conroy are playing injured.
An Oilers fan giving the Flames fans a hard time is like the commercial with the two ladies are shopping and at the checkout she get her small refund for whatever promotion it was. The other lady said yes, but you only got two dollars back and she said, yes, what did you get back.

I am happy we are on the golf course as that started the change that this team has needed for some time now. The upside of the oilers is we are a few pieces away from contending whereas the flames seem to have all the pieces but seem to fall short year after year, must be very frustrating:) And let's be realistic here flames fans and oiler fans are supposed to give each other the gears, it's all part of the game.

Phaneuf is one of the most overrated players in the league. They won't lose because he's not in the lineup. Reghyr(sp) is a way bigger missing piece.
Rbacchiega
04-28-2009, 01:06 AM
I agree that Regehr is hugely missed, but I don't think Phaneuf is overrated. Granted, he's had an off season (come to think of it...he's been not too great since he started dating what's her name there...) but for only being 23 he's one helluva player. Give him a few years time and he'll be one of the best defencemen in the league...so long as he dumps that woman. :D
