I thought the blue legged crab did not eat other crabs?? I read the bio on J&L. Is this the same blue legged crab you guys are talking about??

I have heard of that happening. I think they are fighting for the shells.

Speaking of which, where can you get spair snails? J&L?

My snails and hermits from J&L are arriving tommorow :D

looks like I'm getting all my 'stuff' from J&L. The LFS is outrageously priced, eg. salt twice the price. UV $70.00 more etc. and I was promised the tank 2 weeks ago, then this weekend..now next tues  . Anyway J&L have been very helpful and I have heard only good things about the LR and Crew etc. Don't know if I will order fish  .

Regarless of what anyone tells you, the bluelegged hermits are the most agressive and will usually kill any other hermits or snails in the tank. This is mor that just a food thing. The only hermits that can compete with them are the hawaiian hermits but then they have their own issues.
