I am replacing a fan and am just curious on airflow direction in an enclosed 250mh fixture. Should the air be pushed out or sucked in generally? There is only 1 fan. Thank you!

I would have the airflow out of the fixture to keep the salty air out.

thats what i thought too but i finally got through to their customer service and they told me to push air in, seems weird to me
I would also have it sucking the air out.

Does the fixture have slots on top? If so, pushing the air in and allowing convection to extract the rising hot air out the top would make the most sense.

yes there are two other grilles on top of the fixture
