Ok - so I was -><- this close to deciding to buy beer and invite canreefers over to help lift the damn 110g onto the new stand... But tried to see if we could handle it ourselves...

While giving myself a hernia - I said outloud "This is heavier than the 22RE" (toyota engine I just pulled)

Engine hoists and a pair of slings... Absolutely FABULOUS way to lift a tank into place!

I should build a custom "tank hoist" patent it and resell it for thousands

Dunno about that. I'm a 135 pounds skinny a$$ and I brought my 90 gallon to the second floor and onto stand by my lonesome. And I know of a famous lady reefer round these parts that put her 90 on a stand by herself. It's all in techinque I think.

LOL - the 110g is made out of 1/2", but the back pane is 3/8" - I managed to drag it into the basement (with a nasty corner on the way) by myself on moving day - but lifting it up 3'6" onto a stand - wasn't happening

great idea if you happen to have an engine hoist hanging around!

I seem to commision anyone who will listen...and then feed them and get them drunk.
