I keep getting PM porn spam from them, lucky me. I have never really used that site so I am unfamiliar as to how to contact the mods, or even if I really want to go on the site. (I'm a bit nervous after just losing my hard drive during tax season...)

Just wondered if other members were having to put up with this. If they've reported it, I won't worry about it.

I suspect they know. I keep getting spammed too but by the time I get to the site to delete the PM the message is already gone.

I get them from Nano-Reef, Monsterfishkeepers (which I havn't been active on in god knows how long) and a tattoo forum.

They must think I'm lonely.....

I have also been getting them from a 4x4 site that I am a member of.... Must be a big worm or something.

I see, I didn't know why that was happening to me at nano-reef...I never get there in time for the message. Now I'm informed.

Those sites must all use a common bulletin/forum service that the spammers have discovered a weakness to exploit, it surely will be patched soon. vBulletin the service that canreef uses has also been exploited in the past, in the early days of vBulletin it got REALLLy ugly.

Sure enough. IPBoard the system nano-reef.com uses, own support boards has recent posts about spam and being attacked.

Does this have anything to do with that worm that hackers 'released' on April 1?

I dont think so that one was way too powerfull to only be used for porn spamming, i would think it was setup to hack banks or something where alot of money was involved, or even government computers.

I suspect it is after the gun registry files, would make it 307 times the registry has been hacked so far... That would sell to the right people for a lot of money a list of all registered guns in canada with adress and personal details.
