Thank You everyone. We are really enjoying the new addiction. Thanks to everyone that has been helping us along the way. The new to us 140g will be here in 9 days. We have huge plastic garbage cans with saltwater, heater, circulating pump and live rock awaiting its arrival......so the kitchen is the new fish room for now. The 34g & 24g are stuffed with corals for the new tank.......so I cannot buy anything until the new unit gets here. (so don't let us buy anything Carmen & Doug!!!!).......ok hardware but no fish or corals!

Cheers to all! Have fun, we are!!

The new tank came today!!!! The live rock is living in a 40g plastic garbage can complete with heat and water circulation. So now we have a plan of attack....might take a while to get completed.

I am in....as long as you bring the red wine!!

I will bring whatever you want, this is very exciting... who knew people could throw a party over a container full of live rock and glass box... Geez it seems like a life time ago you told me you were getting Raff's awesome tank. Let me know if you need anything... beer and wine included.

Here is the unit up and running. Lots of changes made to the sump system. Installed a Herbie (thank's for the help Doug, Kevin and Carmen!) got rid of the bio balls added some weirs. Configured sump from left to right - Refug/Return/Skimmer areas. Added a carbon canister and circulation pump. I am working on improving water clarity.

Its quite deceiving at times Tony, in that picture it looks good...close up at times is a different story. Lately there seems to be blooms happening that really cloud up the water. When we go to lights out phase this all clears up over night but starts again when the lights come on. I just added a small reactor vessel and packed it with carbon. I can see the reaction of the corals from that addition. I am now thinking about adding another phosban reactor.

Thanks guys! We will see about going bigger.......I might have a couple of ideas :idea:

My sister's camera and I don't know how to set the white balance so that everything does not turn out purple for a front shot. Thats a skill I need to master.

I do have lots of purple in this tank.....it seems to pick it up too well.

I purchased a new light from sunbrite. (5 foot) Program runs off my iPhone. I had a glitch with the first controller but this one works fine. I love the flexibility of the software, once you understand how it's designed to work.
