Everything is adjusting okay.

I decided I didn't need a 250w hqi over a 40 gallon.

Your tank looks great Jack!! I love all the different colors! That's funny, I went from T5s to 2x250w DE on my 40g (but they are run off electronic ballasts, so the output isn't nearly what an HQI would be or even an M80). How many bulbs did you put over your tank? What bulbs are you using?

I know you went the opposite of me at about the same time.

I'm using a 4 bulb fixture with some giesmanns and a daylight.

How are you liking the Giesemanns? I have really disliked them in the past. You're getting freakin fantastic color out of them though eh?

I can't wait for my tank to grow in...a mature tank like yours looks sooooooo much better!!

Looks great Jack

What fixture are you using?

I am looking to improve the PC lighting on my 75G Frag tank.

What would you suggest?

I'm using the New Wave fixture. http://www.jlaquatics.com/product/sl-t5nw2404/Sunlight+Supply+24%22+New+Wave+T5+Fixture+-+4-Bulb%2C+4+x+24W.html Its a simplified Tek fixture

Something like that 48" New Wave would work good for you.

Ya, I don't know how you managed to piece it all in like that. I bet it took awhile to get a nie arrangement. It will be interesting to see how it develops since it doesn't look like it has room to develop!! I bet the balance of the corals will slowly shift to the new tank. :)

Brad, don't get me wrong I prefer MH but these aren't a bad.

The fiance and I bought a place and we are moving in 2 weeks. I'm simplifying the system... majorly.

It's gonna be T5s, kalk, mostly softy and LPS instead of MH, calcium reactor, kalk, mixed with sps.

I'll post pics when we get there.

bah, your getting soft in your old age.

Jack do me a favor and in two months take another pic using the exact same settings, I am interested in seeing the long tearm change under t5's since your corals were MH growen.

Very nice set up. I have to say I'm curious if there would be a change under the T5's too.

Sure that will be easy since the settings are "point and shoot"

And thanks for the congrats... I proposed at 60ft while scuba diving a reef in Cozumel. I joked after that had she said no that I was gonna turn the air off.

You fool! .. er, I mean, congratulations. :)

Tank looks nice. It's hard to imagine that it's only a 40g.
