I ordered a 120 from them about 1 1/2 years ago. I can't remember what the shipping was, but the tank cost the same with shipping as what I could buy local. They ship by Canadian Freightways.

I hate it when a canadian company will only quote US shipments on there web page.

Here is there web site (not too fancy)
The reason why the shipping is all US is that IA is for American customers. In Canada they are supposed to be wholesale even though it doesn't always work that way.

I looked into buying from this company last year but I ended buying a 75g Oceanic tank instead.

There are several people you can find on the internet who have these tanks. I did a google search, came up with a few e-mail addresses, and asked peoples' opinions on these tanks.

YES THEY WILL STILL BUILD TANKS FOR CANADIANS. I TALKED TO THEM TODAY BUT I FIND THEIR PRICES TO BE NOT THAT GREAT AFTER YOU FIGURE IN THE EXCHANGE. I THINK THAT DEZ FROM AQUARIUM ILLUSIONS HAS AS GOOD OR BETTER PRICES

I have had Mitch build a tank for me. I only had a smallish 33 gallon cube type tank built. I found the cost, and service to be excellent.

I know from reading on reefcentral that there is a fellow from Toronto that jsut received a 120 gal from IA a few days ago. $900 including shipping to TO for a fully customized, drilled, w/overflows, starfire tank, I'm not sure but I believe that is pretty reasonable.

Good luck,

Rob

Teevee, I can understand him wanting to stop selling localy. Ie. as in calgary localy.. much easyer to sell to a local fish store and have everyone go to them..

is there anyone who lives close to inter-american and can stop by there and ask a question for me.. (or call with out it being long distance)
I want to know the aproximite shipping on a tank that is 280 to 300 gal from Calgary to victoria.

thanks.

for sure. he's mowing his wholesale clients lawns when he sells retail. however it's possible that he gives his wholesale clients a better price than the public, and as such, it may actually be just as cheap from a fish shop... however i don't know how much cheaper he could possibly go.

I purchased a 280 gallon Inter-American tank, 2" tubular steel stand and custom sump about 2 years ago. I got the package for $1400 Cdn including shipping to Sudbury, ON. Mitch offered free shipping since he already had trucks heading out this way. I am very pleased with all of his work. Here is a link to some pics of the tank, stand and sump.

1800 still looks like a decent price delivered to your door. I probably paid close to 1300 for my 155 and steel stand. And I had to pick it up!!
