So I was peeking in my tank last night with a flashlight and found a teeny little orange ball anemone (Pseudocorynactis). I'm getting conflicting information on the net as to whether this thing is good or bad. Anyone have these in their tank? It's such a pretty little anenome that I'd hate to kill it.

Looks just like this

No idea what it is, but it's pretty cool looking. Nice picture.

Yeah, it's really cute and tiny. Not my pic though, I borrowed it off the net. I don't think I could get a pic of it because it's so tiny.

I have a few in my tanks (and mostly in my sumps, so it seems). Absolutely harmless, tiny, and really only come out at night. Although supposedly if you feed them you can "train" them to come out during the day, if you really wanted.

OMG Lucky you! These guys are hard to come by! I'd be ecstatic

I'll be looking for one of these when my tank is ready.

careful not to let them touch other coral though. the balls are white because of a high concentration of nematocysts... these guys can pack a punch when they want. still, not as aggressive as hydroids or aiptasia imo. and a lot prettier too.
