I picked up this coral from a fellow reefer. It was on it's way out with VERY little tissue left when I got it. Had a very thin layer of pale tissue then but has picked up a bit of color and is pleasantly fattening up nicely. Likely still has a long ways to go but it is coming along. Anyone know what it is? Some sort of moon coral I was told??

The polyps are Plocoidic so its probably an Acan/ Favia. Going to lean for some sort of stressed favia. Could be Acan Maxima though?

It's super hard to find Acan Maxima. From what I've been reading, it's nearly impossible. What is labled as Maxima tends to be a scoly of some sort actually, as Maximas tend to be dark brown and fairly ugly.
Most people, when they think Acan, think Aussie Acans, which have very defined polyps. Indo acans are more comparable to what you have, Carmen

I saw an Indo Acan on Frag Factory, looked pretty gorgeous  Yours seem to be recovering nicely.

Given time, I'm sure it will color up... I don't think I've ever seen a pale acan. Well, not a healthy one anyhow

colors right for a candy cane or trumpet coral, but the structure is all wrong...
