Hi,
I am having some family going to Calgary next week and would like them to pickup a few buckets of Salt for me. I normally use Instant Ocean Sea Salt. Where in Calgary can I send them to pickup 3 or 4 160 g buckets for a reasonable price?

I appreciate your help.

I'd try Gold aquariums. They carry it and it will probably be cheapest there.

Golds usually sells a tub for just a bit over $40. Big Al's usually charges more for their stuff in general.

I agree with this. Big Al's always seems to be more expensive for everything.

More expensive and sub-par quality drygoods and livestock.

Thanks everyone. I have given them Gold's info. I pay $135.00 - $195.00 a bucket up here so anything under $100.00 is a savings. Shipping is really expensive to Whitehorse.

I guess I can never complain about salt prices after hearing how much you pay up there for it.

Is your family flying or driving? If they're driving I have a brand new bucket of IO you can have for free. I live about 1/2 hour north of Calgary and it's only a 5 min. detour off the highway.

BTW...Welcome to Canreef!
