Way to leave it to the last minute Keri

So I have some 2 partt tunze epoxy I'd like to use on some corals I got today but how safe is it to let it harden in the tank rather than a separate container ?

it should be fine, its designed to cure in the tank. if you're worried about it, just swish it in some other water after you've mixed it up then mount your frag with it in the tank.

That's what I ended up doing :) Thanks!!

as a side note....wow do I ever suck at sculpting that stuff! It's not pretty, but they are attached! Now I wait for the corraline to cover my secret shame!!

It's a lot harder with the recommended gloves on, I ended up giving up on those (as you can tell by the fingerprints lol)

I should go downstairs and see if any of them let go....

edit: Nope!!

Ah its only ugly at first, eventually you won't notice it. Corals seem to cover over it pretty quickly too, which is nice

My mom stopped by today, and saw the tank for the first time (well, she thinks it's still my old 65g, doesn't realize it's bigger now, but we won't get into that) and the thing she thought was the coolest?
The damn mag float
Thousands of $ put into that tank and she picks the $20 cleaning mag. She's funny.

LOL, that always happens. Then people ask about all the "plants" in the tank (corals)

Yup. Just wait until you buy the scraper attachment and clean it in front of friends who want to take a turn...then find a way to scratch the glass in the process....

Don't worry about the putty. In a few months it will look like rock anyway :)

Looks good to me. I wouldn't worry about the epoxy...it "disappears" in no time!

I have a decent amount of that stuff throughout my tank (more superglue though) but I figure since the tank has a year or so to go before I will be really proud of it, who cares about the mess right now  I also figure the worse it looks now, the more impressive it will be down the road if I can actually get it to look good!
