BRS ships all Canada shipments on Fridays so you pay no duty. If you log onto their site, it will quote you on shipping.

Given that you are in Calgary, I would think that you could get a group order going and help pay for that shipping bill.

Let me know when you are going to order. Maybe we can split shipping.

I'm in for some GFO phosphate remover if you want to look at a group buy.

Looks like the shipping will still be alot for a 5 gal pail. Any local retailers that have similar prices?

If you buy 44 lbs of Kent Reef Carbon from J&L it comes to $6.51 per pound. Liginite Carbon from Bulk Reef Supply comes to $8.45 per pound and ROX comes to $15.35 per pound... give or take depending on the exchange rate for a 45 lbs purchase from them. So are these other options really worth it over the Kent stuff?

Back when I was running lots of carbon pellets on my fresh water 20 years ago I would take my used carbon and cook it in a BBQ for an hour as hot as I could make it. After cooling it seemed good as new.
