View Full Version : Acro crab?

I just picked a nice new Tabling Acro and during acclimation noticed a little hitchhiker. Beautiful little crab. Just trying to figure out if its safe or not.

Its quite small but I will try to get a pic. Its got purple legs just like the color of the acros tips and it has a bit of red on the tips of the claws. The thing blends in with the acro PERFECTLY. I figured it must be fine and will never leave that piece anyways but just wanted to ask now before I add it to the tank.

Thanks!

not sure if all harmless "acro crabs" need to look like these (http://www.reefcorner.com/SpecimenSheets/acrocrab.htm) but it's what I got

Thanks guys...I will look through all the links.

I can't get a good pic cause he is tiny. Maybe about half the size of a dime and also is exactly the same color as the coral itself.

All smooth too, no hair that I can see.
