Well, it's been a long process but here are all the fish and corals and most of the inverts finally together in the new 120g. The fish came from our 65g and 27g, it's so cool watching them explore their new digs! The little foxface is trying to buddy up with the SF tang, and the SF is showing him how to eat the macroalgae (something he's never done before!!)
I had initially wanted a "chasm" in the middle with rocks going up both sides but it didn't really work out that way and the way these rocks are placed there is actually a ton of room for flow and hiding spots. we didn't build too high to allow for things to grow, it was hard to work with all of the rock, some ended up in the sump.

FTS: (most fish still shy as I had to wipe the drips off the front)

I was really impressed as only 1/2 hour after putting them in almost all of the fish were eating frozen food. The yellow wrasse is still in hiding and the scooter blenny was eating pods though both of those fish jumped out of the bucket while acclimating!! :surprise:

Here is a pic of some of the corals settling in and the foxface (his name is FOXFACEFIVE! with the "!") peeking out around the corner

In this shot you can see the old 65g in the background all cloudy and barren except for one anemone that I'm trying to get off of the glass and ALL the xenia...oh god, don't get me started on the xenia.... I have been ripping, teasing, pulling and MASHING that stuff off of the rocks for 2 days. I LOVE the way it looks but it is NOT going in my new tank, that's it!! It killed one of my favorite digis and I'm holding a grudge.

Here is a shot of my xenia in it's new home....Find your way to the sea my pretties!! (I Can't get that SMELL out from under my nails!!) :crazyeye:

In this shot Enrique the Azure demoiselle is staking out his new territory

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii254/Keri1980/enrique.jpg

I put the clown's BTA + rock + eggs around the corner fairly close to the glass so I could photograph them easily, I'm so happy they found it right away!

One last FTS with almost everybody out. Ok....maybe all the hard work is worth it... What do you think?

Very nice! :)

I'm a tad jealous! I was planing a 120-150g but for many reasons have to wait until much later on.

Love the xenia shot! Can't believe when I started out I paid good money for those pests!

Now I wish i could flush all my green striped mushrooms!

I hope so! I know he'll probably outgrow this one as well but we just don't have the space for anything bigger...in this house... I guess the next project is a new house ;)

I know, it's silly how much I paid for the initial colony and at first I was fragging it and selling it back but now I can't be bothered to mount it and bring it on the ferry to the NSLFS ... I do actually like it, it's still one of my favorite corals - on it's own- or in a nano under control but I don't like how grabby it is, it doesn't stay where you put it!! It's just not going to get to live in the 120

The aquascaping was mostly Drew :) I took the pics tho, they aren't bad but I didn't bother with a tripod, i think they will be better with these lights, my camera didn't like the T5's on the other tank

Look! He's smiling!

I know! I know!! We're making progress, the basement is starting to look a lot better, clearing out all the crap I have stored here, trying to make it "livable" around the tank. Once it doesn't embarass me you'll have to come over!

Some new pics from today

new purpleyblue sps frag from AA

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii254/Keri1980/AApurpleblueSPS.jpg

Hairy mushroom - from my first tank, has split and grown a lot since then :)

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii254/Keri1980/Hairymushroommacro.jpg

My LMB (the carpet surfer - alive and cheeky for the camera)

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii254/Keri1980/LMB.jpg

Blue SPS from Jason McK - hasn't grown much at all, but coloured up beautifully, we'll see how it likes the better lights! The tips are damaged from the night of the move, it fell into so bleeping xenia

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii254/Keri1980/bluesps.jpg

Candy cane from the swap meet - has gone from 7 heads to 12, good eater!

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii254/Keri1980/candycanes.jpg

The chromis....being chromis

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii254/Keri1980/chromis-1.jpg

My hammer coral, also from my first tank, has grown a LOT since the one head I bought!

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii254/Keri1980/hammer.jpg

The Hemprich's anemone from Oceanic, seems to be liking the spot I put his rock in, he's in a lot of flow tho and he looks better with less (more "poofy)

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii254/Keri1980/hemprichsanemonejan4.jpg

Monti frag from reefjunkie, this thing changes colour every month, sometimes it's brown, sometimes it's orange, sometimes it's red.

http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii254/Keri1980/monti.jpg

Lovely yellow acro "frag" (aka: colony lol) from Denis
