Thanks for the comps guys.:smile: But Im looking for an ID here:lol:. I think it is a pokerstar monti and another experienced canreefer thinks it isnt. Keep in mind these montis were just shipped and freshly dipped. Shipped n dipped:biggrin:

I have a monti just like that and I've been calling it a pokerstar. I am by no means an expert but I have seen others refer to these as pokerstar's as well. I have mine sitting close to the top of my tank and it seems to be doing quite well.

I think you need to wait a bit for that to color up. Looks to me you just got it right? The purple might turn blue, stay purple or who knows after a while. Give it some time.

It's got some coloring up to do but it definitely looks like a pokerstar to me. It's suppose to be blue with green polyps, but SPS color can vary from tank to tank so you may get more purple than blue but still the same coral.

why is it called a pokerstar monti? the tearm pokerstar doesnt relate to colours to me so it is a meaning less name to me. whats wrong with the real name? and how did they decide pokerstar..
thats the problem with all these made up names every store could call it something different and you may not get what your expecting.
