help with eheim pump

i have the 200-1260 h&s skimmer and the eheim impeller has broke. the needle wheel part of it has seperated from the shaft and does not spin. i have tried to crazy glue it back together and it worked for about 5 minutes. where in the heck do i go to get a new impeller. i have no skimmer running right now so its a little stressful

I'd check with J&L. They carry Deltec which also uses needlewheel Eheims. I think that you'd have to check the US for an H&S Eheim needlwheel. Regardless, it won't be cheap!

ok so i have tried J&L , aquatic addictions, and some store in calgary. i have also tried to size up other needle wheel impellers to work with no bloody luck. can ANYONE tell me where the heck to go to get another impeller. seems like no one is carrying the H&S line either anymore to get an impeller from them. i have tried to contact H&S and Eheim for advice with no response. nice customer service, hey!

You can get the Euro-reef impeller (http://commerce03.i2net.com/able55new/stores/111/SPE5-Complete-impeller-assembly-Eheim-1262-P173C105.aspx) for the 1260 for $100 bucks less than Deltec charges.

is there a difference between the 1262 pump and 1260 pump. thanks for the link and that looks identical buts its for the 1262 pump. anyone know if it is interchangeable

I believe that the only difference between the STOCK 1260 and 1262 is the intake volute - the rest of the STOCK pump is exactly the same. However, even though an impeller made for the same pump should fit, different skimmer companies modify pumps in different ways. For example, the Sedra 9000 on my skimmer has a custom volute and the outflow is hand ported. Hagen Laguna pond pumps and BK Red Dragons are both derived from the same pump (an Askoll), but they are very different after their respective modifications. So there's no guarantee an ER Eheim needlewheel will work with an H&S Eheim.

hmmm. something else to think of. i find it really bloody frustrating that i spend all this money on something and it is a major PITA to get it fixed. you think these people that make millions off us would have good costumer service to keep us coming back
