Well, free shipping. That really does entice a person.

That's an expensive zoa frag, no doubt. However, the seller shows a 9-polyp frag and is keeping one, so it is really 8. Take 3 for yourself, and resell the five-polyp frag for 1k. Free zoas! Now that's a price you can live with. I assume, with this new information, you're going to snap it up?

then I'll have to come down and sneak some of the colony away to Chestermere, of course I'll also see something in your tank that I want and buy a frag of it as well.

I think there is many nice polyps we can get for much cheaper. But if I had that kind of money to throw away, why not!

Why are they so expensive exactly? They are nice, but I don't understand the expense. I'm a newbie so forgive the ignorance.

Everything has a cost. When the species is rare and people really wants it, the seller can ask more for it. That's how it is for cars, arts, everything.

I would not pay that much for that coral but I can understand why some would do. I use to collect rare freshwater moss and paid the big $ to get some species. Some were freaking awesome, some were just like any other. My wife got mad at me when I told here how much I was paying to get a gram of those plants from singapour. She also got really mad at me when I told here that 80% of those moss were cut at custom.
All that for a moss collection in peanut butter jars by the window.
