It looks like someone is making a snack out of my toadstool...

I have not added anything recently that is a likley suspect, but I do have a larger emerald crab that may be doing it..Any thoughts?
Other inhbitants: foxface, 6-line wrasse, diamond goby, cleaner shrimp,

The suspect

I agree with the foxface...my rabbitfish LOVED to eat leathers! Faster than you could blink she'd have a large chunk off and devour it!

The foxface has never done it before and it is well fed...but given the size of the bites...it makes sense.

Thanks for the responses.

Is it a 'one spot' foxface? http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=15+1465+2704&pcatid=2704. I have one and he's been fine with my softy's. But honestly I didn't know he would go after any corals until I did some more research after reading your post. I thought all foxface were reefsafe.

My foxface looks exactly like the one spot, but without the spot..
I thought it was reef safe too.

Now if I could convice it to eat some Kenya Tree...and/or aptasia....

I have a one spot foxface and the only thing it ever bothered was the waving hand.I wanted that gone anyway,it was taking over, but he couldn't eat it,as fast as it grew.I have a huge toadstool, never touches it.As well as 2 other softer leathers, same thing, never touches them.Model fish
