ASM G3 skimmer. Modified for recirculation and gate valve adjustments.

Info on the skimmer can be found here: http://oceanaquatics.com/store/product/140/ASM-G-3-Skimmer/

It requires a new impeller. $60 from Wendell: http://oceanaquatics.com/store/product/585/Impeller-for-Sedra-5000/

Here's the deal. If it were up to me, I'd consider undoing the recirculation mod, it didn't really make a difference and it made it sort of awkward to fit in the sump. I can maybe un-mod this part for a buyer if so desired, or leave it up to the buyer. Let me know your preference.

I also enlarged the volute intake of the pump and reemed out the air intake for improved air injection.

It needs a new impeller because I mesh modded the old one, which worked GREAT, but caused uneven wear after about 18 months of use. So I'm on the fence about this mod: it DID make the skimmer perform considerably better, but if the cost is replacing the impeller every year to year and a half then there's a judgment call to be made. I can set the buyer up with a piece of the PF4 mesh and then they can make their own decision on that one. :)

I will send home with the buyer both Sedra 5000's I have for this skimmer. The old pump leaked slight current so I replaced it back in August. It runs fine, I'm not sure if the pump should be discarded or maybe it can be kept as an emergency spare if it can be gooped up with silicone or something.

Price is $150.

Location is Calgary but shipping can be arranged.
