I have a 34 gal. with oodles of little blue/green banded brittle starfish. They seem to reproduce quite rapidly, and I believe only grow to about 3". Can anyone tell me more about these little pygmys? I used to have a serpent starfish, but I'm pretty sure that these are an entirely, much smaller, species. I love them in my Max biocube, but have a large number of them. Should I try to sell them?
Thanks,

If you find a market for them, let me know. I have quite a few of them in my 10g nano. I was thinking of getting a harlequin shrimp, but decided I liked the little critters.

Yeah I think these guys are one of the only freebies we get in the saltwater game. I have tons of them in my 28 gallon. All I ever see of them is the odd little arm hanging out of a rock at feeding time. How would you even be able to get them out of there?

Just enjoy them. They're doing a good job at helping keep your tank clean. At any rate, there's probably not an aquarium out there without them, so they'd probably be worth about a penny a dozen. I used to like watching them come out by the hundreds to crawl over the rocks and float on the current through the tanks at night.

As to how to get them out of the tank, they siphon out of the sand and each time I pick out a rock, they drop off of it. I like them too. If anyone needs/wants some, I'm at Caroline and have thousands of them! I don't think they get bigger than a couple of inches(??).

Too bad you're so far away.
