Here is a very poorly stitched together panorama i took of my tank today, dont mind the double of the dieing acro in my tank, there is only one. My DSLR sucks for macros apparantly you need a special xd card to take good panoramas so i stitched this one together in paint! Enjoy!

Great photo. I enlarged to fill my screen then scrolled around. Felt like I had my nose right up to the glass. Maybe this is the start of a panoramic, full tank thread?

That is a great idea! I would love to see some more panoramas!!

Try this stitching program. It does every thing for you:

Why does your DSLR suck for macros? What lens are you using? Cool tank! Still can't see it all in one shot though (had to scroll over hehe). ;)

Autostitch for the win. I've taken some very nice outdoors photos and used autostitch to piece them together

It actually doesnt really suck for macros, the camera is still pretty new and i am a total newb to macro photography im using a standard quality lens 14-42mm under the new standard 4:3 suposed to be double that in the old 35mm standard, f3.6 to 5.6. I need to purchase a macro lens but the wife wont let me right now because i am getting my wave box next week.

The picture is also blurry because all the pumps and poweheads are running and the photo was taken at 400 iso ala a slower shutter speed.

I tried autositch this morning, didnt work to well, i need to try it with three photos of the tank so it has more to match to (one of the left one of the middle, one of the right) id like to get the proper card for the camera so i can test out the cameras panorama software, its supposed to do a pretty good job of it.

Instead of a macro lens, you can look into the Kenko extension tubes... a very good and cheap alternative to full macro lens. I used it to take these...

BTW: Photoshop does a good job at stitching as well
