Just looking for a small monti frag to try in my slightly higher nutrient tank :D

Nitrates are usually around 5-15 ppm, so this is a bit of an experiment. Flow and light are no issue, just the nitrates. Im hoping to be able to keep them successfully in my tank but just want to try out a small frag first. Maybe around a few inches. Any colour really. Maybe you accidentally fragged one???

Maybe instead of possibly killing a coral you could list your tank specs. People on the board could give advise on how to lower some of those stats....IE maybe more rock to help with nitrates maybe? 1-2 pounds per gallon will help alot? JMO

I am not going to kill a monti cap with nitrates at this level. If anything it may slow growth. I see many sps dominant tanks with higher nitrates. I keep them anywhere from 5-15 because over the years I have found my soft corals grow much faster. I have experimented with 0 nitrates via a denitrator with poor results in my tanks.

Im not looking for advise on lowering nitrates, just a monti frag and I have found one. :D
