Hello everyone, I need a little help with my Anemone. Up until a couple days ago, he has been eating (silver sides)and very happy (alive and big). Last night he was completely closed for a few hours. When i got home, this is how he looked... any info or input would be greatly appreciated.

I vote for: Frogspawn 1 Anemone 0

I'm not sure who usually wins in that case but I'd be moving that frogspawn over a bit, the anemone looks like it either has mechanical damage or has been stung by something, namely the frogspawn next to it. I didn't think anemones had to worry about that but thats what it looks like to me.

Just my two cents. I've never had an anemone so perhaps other anemone owners will chime in.

It may be a reaction to a coral, however as the proud owner of several anemone's, what you are seeing may be quite normal. They somtimes go through this phase just before they.."poo" or move..mine have done this a few times..see how it looks in 24hrs, My wife thought mine was dying the other night as it looked quite similar to yours...today..no prob's...
keep us posted...Your salinity is ok, but you may want to bump it to 1.025.

Salinity should be 1.024 at the lowest or they can't absorb the trace elements they need.

Thx for all the replies... As a precaution I moved the Frogspawn to the otherside of the tank. Ive seen his 'pooing' stage and thats what i thought it was yesterday, but today was very different. I am gonna bump the salinity up. And do a little more tank re-arranging. Thanks everyone I will keep u guys updated.
