I was in Calgary for a few days and brought some corals home from Red Coral. They've been in my tank for a week now and I thought I'd post some pics of them. (Kevin, all the corals are lookin' good!)
The colours are much nicer than the pics show due to my crappy camera and lack of photography skills.

photo 1 = lemon lime acro
photo 2 = Kevin says is a fairly rare type that Greg would know as he has one
photo 3 = is actually brown with bluish corralites and green polyps
photo 4 = Fox Coral
photo 5 = I think is a Cali Tort
photo 6 = some kind of encrusting Montipora

Please feel free to ID any of the these for me.

And here are some pics of frags I got from Coral Master a few months back. They are all doing well Greg. Some have grown considerably. Again the colours are so much nicer than the pics show

Absolutely.

And while you're here I'll have to pick your brain. I have some questions on the new tank set up. Better yet, bring Anthony along and I'll have two brains to pick.

Some very nice corals:biggrin: Sorry if I missed this, but did you fly or drive out to Calgary? If you flew, is it any trouble bringing corals in your carry-on or do they have to be checked in as baggage? Curious as my daughter lives in Vancouver and has offered to check out stores there for me.

Good plan... Anthony can distract you while I bag them up

I moved my daughter out by moving truck and then flew back. I had brought a cooler with me which was too large for a carry-on so was checked in as baggage. West Jet stowed it as oversize baggage for me, which apparently is stowed in a different compartment. The corals all shipped real well.

It was nice meeting you and your family Lance. I am glad your new corals shipped so well. As I remember I did get to band the bags more than once as the they were an inch too high for the cooler. I guess practice does make perfect. Thanks again see you next time your visiting.
