I'm planning to add two 24 watt T5's with an HO ballast to my current set up. I'm running MH's now with 14000k bulbs. The tank is pretty white which I don't mind. I tried 20000k bulbs for a while but I wanted better coral growth. The only purpose of these T5's is to help colors show up better. I know the wattage is a little low but I'm limited with the way my canopy is built and most of the colorful corals are within the top half of the tank anyway. I don't know much about T5 bulbs but there seems to be a lot of choices. I didn't want to waste money buying bulbs that didn't give the right look. Anyone have some experience that would help with my decision?

Thanks

Try a Fiji Purple, they really make your coral "pop"

I've got 2 of the aquascience blue bulbs, 2 fiji purple and 2 10k bulbs. It gives a really nice colour, not too much white, not too much blue, not too much red/purple.

I second that, 2 fiji's will give better color than 2 blues.

If you have florescent coral, the best bet is osram 67.
