So here's my new output... the force/direction of the water spins the outputs around.

I had a lil video but it won't load.

I know both pics look like the output is in the same spot but that just happen by chance

It spins fairly fast

I bought one of those too. mine doesn't spin all that fast and I foudn the flow was minimized quite a bit by it.

I mean it's not a boat prop or anything but it spins at a good rate. My tank is only 16 gallons so I find it works pretty well. I'd also be worried if my flow was any less minimized by it... i already have to postion the tips very carefully or it will pray my light/out of the tank

Thats crazy your fish is going to get smoked in the head.
You should put in a small piece of live rock to seed some coraline into your tank.

That's wild--like a carnival ride for your fish! Seems like it gives some nice turbulence. Can you pile some rock in front or something so you don't have to look at it--might be a bit distracting?

Nevin

I don't even have salt in yet... I'm having some heat issues or my thermometer is broken... feels more like the latter

Yeah it might be a bit distracting especially after the water cleared up... but I'm hoping the fish will draw my attention

Instead of people just walking up to your tank and saying wow thats cool.. whats that coral.. they will be saying cool... whats the spinning thing,.. just my 2 cents.. cool idea if it was behind rockwork or something... like I said just my opinion..

Yeah thought I'd try it to see how it works. Seemed to work good in the lfs tank so I guess we'll see. He must clean his because it didn't have too much on it.

What'd you search for on ebay? I can't seem to find them anywhere else?
