Well........ after scanning most of my magazine collection my trusty Canon Canoscan 670U scanner died.

So now I am looking into getting a new scanner with negative & slide scanning capabilities.
Does anyone have any suggestions on a specific model?
Cheers,
Vic
Mine scans negatives and slides...you just put this jig thing in it. It's a CanoScan 3000F. I don't think it's anything fancy.

Hi,
I have been using the Epson RX500 for several years with excellent results. The only it is a combination Printer Scanner, which if I was to buy another I would buy them separate, reason if technology changes (as it does) you can't just replace the scanner or the printer.
Just my thoughts

Don't have a scanner recommendation, but you might have a read of what can be done with an ordinary scanner at this web page

I've tried it an it worked ok, but the scanned slide needed a fair bit of tweaking with photo software to brighten it up. My scanner is fairly old too, with lower res than what's available today.
