Hi all. I thought I wold post a quick hello. I have a modded Aquapod 12 gallon reef that will contain mostly soft corals and invertebrates. I bought the tank 3 weeks ago but it is established nicely for over 3 months. It currently contains: a modest CUC, Sexy Shrimp x 3, Emerald Crab, Mithrax Crab(hitchhiker) and a Gorilla/Xanthid crab(his days are numbered) GPS, one orange blossom Zoa. Clarkii Clown(Nemo(sorry I have a 3 y/o daughter))

I have been active over at nano-reef.com for the last couple of weeks, same username Snaz but I needed a Canadian connection and found you guys!

I am into photography, please see this macro video I took if your intersted in what a moddest, modded canon SD800 can do:

I am looking to parlez with Canadians, particularly in the Lower Mainland. Have a great day!

Snaz.

Well modded is too strong a word.. My Pentax monocular happened to fit perfectly over the lens of the Canon and with the microscope lens on the monocular I get VERY close. Check out my thread at nano-reef.com

If you look at the first link you can view full size pics of a crazy spider I found in my sunflowers. Click the smaller images to expand full side, you can see the grains of flower pollen on the spider's legs.

I thought the Canon and Pentax was a nice marriage, I like to get close. :)

What size is your Nano mseepman?

It's a 16" cube tank. I started a thread on it on the weekend so if you look under tank threads you will find it.

mseepman,

Yes I will follow the thread. Will the sump be viewable? I think it is a shame to hide the sump/refugium on tanks. When I look at a tank I want everything to be on display, it has to be neat of course especially in an office setting. The woodwork looks great btw, solid. :)

If this is in your office do you have to worry about cleaning staff turning off or unplugging things? There is an active thread over on nano-reef.com that you might be interested in:

Thanks for the compliments Snaz...it is in an office, but I work at home so it's my home office. I find myself pulling out a lot more hair now in my job (and also since I have a new baby) so I needed something to sooth me during the day without dramatically reducing my effectiveness at work. This is my answer...it's only taken months and months of my free time...haha.
