I'm still researching SW, so forgive the newbie question.

I see a lot of salt creep on tanks. What causes it? Any way to stop or manage it? How often?

I want to set up a tank in our living room, so it has to be presentable. Know what I mean?

Thanks

You get salt creep when small droplets of salt water evaporate leaving behind the salt. The more splashing and bubbles you have, the more salt creep you'll get.

I'll get a little on the inside on the euro-bracing and the glass covers on the pendants but with a closed hood, nothing noticeable on the outside

Are we supposed to be putting salt in the water... Oh hell....

Really though, salt creep really isn’t a big deal – a damp paper towel every time I do a water change. It adds about a minute to my weekly maintenance schedule.
