Hey all,

I am moving at the end of the month and have about 200 gallons of water to move.... I don't get possesion of my new place intil the 8th... I am hoping some kind person(s) with a wack of buckets (TomR I saw a whole bunch in your TOTM pics) would be willing to lend me a few (dozen) old salt buckets for a few weeks as I will have to store water for about a week and a half as well as set up a temporary tank...
NO SALT BUCKET WILL BE REFUSED...
PM or reply to thread
Thanks
Dan

When I moved I was able to rent 5g water bottles from my local water store. Came with the press on caps and everything. Way easier to move than buckets, especially if you don't have lids.

Try the local ice cream shop the one here gives them away for nothing. no handles but nice tight fitting lids and a food quality bucket so no chemicals to leach into your water.

Tim Hortons, Dairy Queen. 2 great places to pick up cheap buckets with lids.
And a ICE CAP, BLUEBERRY SHAKE, P BUSTER PARFAIT, and the list goes on.

I have just lent out the majority of my buckets and Rubbermaid totes to Renegade for his move. I have a few buckets left and you are welcome to the others after Renegade returns them.

I have a couple of barrels & tubs that you can borrow to hold your livestock/liverock for a while until your tank is ready for setting up. I'm in Burnaby. 2x55g barrels & 1x35g tub.

the 5 gallon water jugs that you get from water suppliers are clutch in a tank move.
The last 2 weekends I moved an established 50 gallon with custom cabinet and 20 gallon sump and then an established 100 gallon with 35 gallon sump and custom cabinet.
The water jugs were so easy to seal, move and carry it was awesome.
Buckets are great for rock/livestock but man you gotta invest in some jugs, you can rent them at a lot of places or get them at costco for a 10 dollar deposit.
