The Pencil Wrasse is fantastic. Be careful.

Both Seahorse_Fanatic and I bought one on the same day about a month and half ago. I was talking to him the following week and his had jumped out of the tank and died. I told him mine was fine but was hiding under the sand. Two days later he was found dead on the floor behind the tank. Those guys are jumpers but beautiful.

i've already noticed that this guy is quite the jumper, always near the top of the water and the slightest movement makes him bolt. i have 80% of the top covered so i should be alright i think. At least he's eating and jousting with the other fish so i think he will be alright.

I have about 80% of my top covered too, except at the back where the equipment comes out. However, it took this cleaner wrasse I bought less than 24 hours to carpet surf his way to right out in front of the TV - about ten feet from the tank. I have two cats who had no interest but by the time we found him he was a crispy critter. Just a caution ... I never thought one would get out, either!
