2925

2926I have loads these growing and over-crowding my my tank. What are they?
They are greenish and are only about and inch in diameter.

I will be thinning them down, more them to a frag tank maybe. Anyone want some? I will conseider trades for livestock for the reef or $3 each.
Probably easiest to call me 604-764-2679.

Looks like Majano to me. More or less the same category as aiptasia. I have them too, I'm not sure if anyone will pick at them, I need to get a small rock with one on it to see if my CBB will eat them (he eats aiptasia with gusto). Might have to resort to injecting with kalk/Joes Juice/boiling water to control them ... not 100% sure.

I can control it by simply removing them, they will move. With a stick or something I can irritate it and it will eventually let go and float of.

My brothers tank has a large colony of Majanos, his clowns use them as a surrogate. But when some of them multiply or grow towards other corals, we use a syringe with pure lemon juice. It shows no affect to any of the other animals in his reef. If you don't like the home remedies, joes juice should do the trick.

Better start doing a lot of poking! ;) They are no good. They sting your corals, and as you see, multiply to plague proportions easily.

Joes juice has worked well for me in the past.
