I think one of our best is still Trig-no-metric Function.....the complexity of that might even amuse Quinn !!
Some fish seem to get boring generic names, like Puff, Chromey, or Chevy.
Others have been named by hubby, and I can't decipher the meanings of some of those....
Others, strangely enough, never get named.....why is that? :?
I find it at lot easier to tell hubby that Shadow is doing this or that, instead of saying...look dear...look at the acanthurus tenenntii...no dear, the doubleband surgeonfish....
Bert n Ernie for a pair of cowfish.
Benny the Blenny(hard one wasn't that. Just wait it gets better ;) ).
Tigger the Trigger.
Fred and Ethyl for a pair of watchman goby's.
Nikki Sixx for a six line wrasse. (anyone know who Nikki Sixx is?)
Have many more.. will think about it. :)
And get back to you..
maybe in another thread? :D ;)

At this point in time my fish have no names. I don't think it really bothers them :D . Back in the late seventies I had an Ocellaris clown named "Fat Albert". She fooled us and laid a bunch of eggs. Just to prove we were the goofy ones.

Let's see... we have:
Fred, a damsel - our first fish
Ethel the crab, LR hitchhiker that kept Fred company
Jack blenny
Curly, Larry and Moe - 3 blue leg hermits
Now we found another LR hitchhiker crab, Little Ethel
The Bobsey Twins - 2 peppermint shrimp
3 really fast nassarius snails - Mario Anderetti, Jaques Villeneuve and Speedy Gonzales
Big Bertha the turbo snail
We still have some unnamed snails and hermits - their individual characters have not yet been revealed to us.

I've named ours (the hubby can't be bothered with the names, but my son loves it!).
Blue tang- Horatio
Algae Blenny- Denver
2 cleaner shrimp- Tweedle dee & tweedle dum (not sure which is which).
Thought about naming the brittle star, but we never see him!

I see some nice small ones are on sale !!! Do you want one? We could save on shipping...
My tomato clown pair are named Bob & Margret, after the cartoon tv show. I, however sometimes call them the same name as Troy used, as they attack my arm in the tank.
The sailfins name is "angel". You have to ask my wife why?

Jeeze, busted for mispelling "Poon". I'm going to have to study up on my pornographic slang. Now where's that copy of "Swank"?

5 days after the last post to this thread, I'll jump in ..
Rygel - lawnmower blenny named after the Rygel XVI, Former Dominar of the Hynerian Empire. Mostly because he looks like Rygel, and acts a bit like Rygel (and eats an awful lot too ....) although to my knowledge my Rygel does not have Helium flatulence...
Half-Pint-O-Tang - YT named by EmB ... he's not really half a pint anymore though, a bit more I'd say.
I call my RSSF tang "PleaseComeOutAndStopHiding" but it's a bit of a mouthful.
