Has anyone had problems with painting the room that their Reef tank is in?

That's an excellent question, I'm sure that you should be fine with proper ventilation but then again reef tanks are so sensitive to everything. Perfect example is Tony's tank, he maintains his tanks like he has OCD but for some reason SPS just wont grow for him, sometimes its factors like painting or where you live which determine how your tank establishes.

You can purchase low voc (volatile organic compounds) latex paint.

Thats the product we sell at work. I've never actually used it myself

Good venting, maybe burn some candles to get the fumes. I just remember reading an artical about a dentist with a salt reef in his office and he kept losing corals and it was discovered that trace chemical fumes were getting in to the system.

Do ya think running extra charbon would pick up enough of any thing that gets into the water?
