Need some help in picking a chiller for my red sea max. My choices are pacific coast chiller 1/13hp 45-50 gal $299.00
Prime nano chiller 1/15hp $419.00
Sea line chiller 1/10 $371.00
Can anyone suggest if one is better than the others or is one better in power savings.

IMO I would go with 1/10 because the chillers are probably rated at room temp so to rely on a 10 deg. f. temp drop is pretty dicy. Check the manufacturer's specs and if your tank size falls in the 30 f. drop then you are covered. I think energy savings don't mean too much because a larger compressor will just run less.

Can you explain how this temp pull down stuff works.I think my tank has about 28-30gal in it with all the rock and sand.

The pull down is how many deg. you can lower the temp. If your tank is at 78 f now at 68 f room temp ,at say 90 f in the summer if you don't have airconditioning then your going to burn up 22 deg of your chillers capacity to maintain the tank at 78 deg. Dont forget that the pump you use for your chiller is going to add some heat as well so the chiller has to work harder to overcome that. For my 90 gal ,I was recomended a 1/6 hp chiller.I said no and went with a 1/4 hp and I'm glad I did because my chiller runs a lot and a 1/6 would have never kept up.

I have the JBJ 28g nanocube 150w. I recently bought the current-usa prime 1/15hp. I would definately recommend it. It pulls the temp down really quickly and isnt too loud either. I got a great deal on it from oceanaquatics.

I just bought the 1/10 and it works great I have 25 gallons with 250w MH
Before chiller I would go from 78 to 83 in 3 hrs.
Now its a pretty steady 79. I could of gone with the smaller one but it does not come on as much this way.
