I got a 60g 36x16x24 with 60% sps (mostly montiporas) and 40% lps, i was wondering what would be the best for the tank:

2x 175w xm 20k or 2x 250w xm 20k?

The hood is the same price for both!

Thanks for your advice!

If I read your question right, your tank is 24" deep...then the lights should be the 250W as 175 may not give you good coverage all the way to the bottom.

Go with the dual 175W MHs and use either the Iwasaki 15K bulb if on an electronic ballast or the AB 13K bulb if using a magnetic ballast. Put your SPS up top and the LPS down low.

Both the respective setups will provide as much if not more PAR/PPFD than an 250W XM 20k bulb.
