This little guy is single handedly taking care of my cyano bloom. Only had him a week, what luck!

How do you keep him from getting chewed up in a powerhead?

It's definately a conch. I would say a fighting conch?

Sorry about the fuzzy pic. It is a conch, but I'm not exactly sure what kind. I'll try to get a better pic tonight.

I put a bunch of conchs in the fowlr & it's cyano problem disappeared as well.

I can now foresee a great shortage of conchs in the LFS in the very near future:biggrin:

Got 2 conchs and never had any cyano (knock on wood) - go figure :)

I tried a fighting conch a while back and it didn't make it through acclimation, only thing I've lost that way. Really too bad because he had adorable googly eyes! Good to see yours doing so well! :)

I might get another one because I have a lot of surface area for it to cover, and the tank is right in the middle of it's "new tank" blooms.

I think you might wanna hold off on that just yet because I remember something about the adults feeding exclusively in the SB and starving if they have less than 100 gal or so each (I could be wrong, but check it out)
Cheers :)
