Congratulations Anthony and Irene!

Hope the water change thing works out for you--so far my daughter is still at the "I want a pet that DOESN'T live in water" stage!

We probably have some good "baby girl stuff" around to swap for a frag or two...

Regards,
Nevin

Congrats, I too have a daughter (much older than a baby) but she is wonderful. You will enjoy her. I totally agree that you should celebrate and buy some pink corals.

Speaking of pink...

Anthony you do know that pink will be the prevalent colour scheme in your house once your little Princess arrives?

Exciting times dude! :)

I'm leaning towards "Marisa" as the name of choice.

Like the sound, familiar but far from common name, not trendy (ie. Britney), and best of all, drum roll please......

Marisa means "the sea". Anybody whose been to my place can see that it is a perfect name for any daughter of mine.

I'll post if we change our minds. (ie. if Irene does:wink:)

Congrats Anthony, that is great news. You will make a great parent.

Here is some unsolicited advice as we have 4 soon to be 5.

Since it is your first one you will want only the best for her and you will want to buy everything new. Don't do this. Buy a crib, carseat, highchair, playpen, furniture, etc. etc. used. It will work just as well and you will save $$$$$. When all the kids are older you will be able to sell this stuff for exactly what you paid for it. The money you save can be spent on the really important things like her education.

Great things can happen to great people. This is the proof.

Congratulations to the both of you Anthony.

Haha. You obviously don't know me. I lurk on Craigslist dozens of times daily & have bought or gotten free so much stuff for the daughter already off that site. We're also collecting stuff from various friends and family members whose own children are a little older. The only new stuff I have bought are some Newborn disposable diapers:biggrin:

My family & Irene's family are all very excited & my mom's house is probably getting pretty full with baby stuff.

Thanks for the advice though. Not necessary but appreciate it anyways.

Also, thanks for the kind words and encouragement everyone. Only one month to go. Woohoooooo.

So, after many heated discussions about the baby's name, since this is the most adamant I've ever seen my wife about anything since I've known her, I decided to let her have her choice for naming the new baby girl, who should be due in the next week or so.

The new name is Felicia, which means happy, delightful.

Bye, bye Marisa. You will be missed dearly. (However, if we ever have a second daughter, Marisa will be resurrected.)

BTW, Irene made out like a bandit at her baby shower. Two vehicles full of baby stuff, including 10-12 packs of diapers:biggrin: For every two packs of diapers we get as a gift, that's another coral for the tanks:mrgreen:

Don't tell Irene but I was kind of partial to Marisa myself.

Do tell Irene that my thoughts have been with her and I have been hoping the weather stays cool, at least until after the babies born.

Well Anthony I am totally devastated with name choice for your new daughter. I thought Tomasina had a nice ring to it.

All kidding aside Felicia sound wonderful.
