Are there any precautions I need to take with my reef tank with carpet cleaners coming in?
I believe we are having Cistruso coming in, supposed to be all natural products.

Turn off the skimmer for sure. Maybe cover tank... keep windows open.

Just cover any open area of your sump or lower water levels of water with towels. They are not that harmful.

I've always noticed a chemical smell after carpets get cleaned....thats the only reason i suggested turning off the skimmer.

some critters are lethally sensitive to chemical solvents. especially organic ones. mantis shrimp (which are usually bulletproof as fas as hardiness goes) for example can kick the bucket if the stuff is just used in the same room as their tank. couldnt tell ya specifically what will die but just so you know, there is a gradient as to what will die first for any given exposure.

if you are very worried, plastic wrap the tank and sump and don't take it off till the place airs out.
