Here's a few fresh shots from my reefs.
I'll start with some softies. A FTS of my dirty softie/refugium tank, devils hand and even few softies from the main display

Your corals are amazing! It wasn't until you posted the pic of yourself standing beside your tank that put the the magnificent perspective of the real life beauty of it all into focus. I'm certain that you've had to help a few people pick up their jaws off your floor after seeing your tank in person.

Oh My god oh my god oh my god....I saw snappys tanks today for the first time...Greg has outdone himself such a tank really gives you the feeling of a part of a reef in your home..simply astounding - all i could muster at first was ...oh my.... I also saw Danny Zubots tank and again another wow, he is one who most assuredly has an eye for detail and aquascaping...amazing amzing both of these tanks. I really can't describe just home impressed i was with them, and the people were so nice...greg and Dannys wife...and i am ashamed to say i forget her name. :(
First rate frags and people so nice even though i was sick/am sick it really made my day talking to these fine people :)

Thanks Tom. Top down IMO is often the best angle to shoot from. What I use is a clear acrylic box that I got from work that was built to display carbide grinding burrs.(long story) The dimensions are roughly 9 x 8 x 4.
Here is what it looks like.

Christy that piece has some real sentimental value for me, the original "wild colony" went RTN and I was only able to save about a 1/4" nub which has taken about 2 years to grow back into what you see in the picture. Several times it would start to grow ok and then get knocked into something and it had to start all over again. Anyway it's about 3" across now and is now almost as big as when I bought it but is nicer now.

Greg, just wondering something. Are there certain colors of SPS that are more difficult to come by than others? And what sort of mix do you go for? Like, do you ever think, "Hmm, I've got a lot of purple and not enough red..."?

Looks incredible, btw :)

Thanks Drew, I go for all colours and various shades of each so when you stand back at a distance you can get the full affect. With the many different shades you pick up when you look closely you loose the distant "blended" view and can see a lot of subtleties with a mix of shades, sizes & shapes. Everyone talks about "aquascape", I do my best to create "coralscape." Perhaps not everyones cup of tea but I enjoy myself.

I went through this entire thread and I am truly impressed and jealous:lol::crazyeye:

I do have a question though, I have a few SPS, (very few to be exact) and a couple are just as colorful as yours but when I try to take a pic the colors look washed out, do you use a specific setting for the colors to pop the way they do? :Fade-col:

Very, very nice Greg ! A ? regarding your pics, how do you get your purples to show up like that. My pics never seem to pick up various shades of purple. Right now I'm using a Olympus Stylus 720 SW. Micro shots also seem to be a struggle. Anyways great shots.
