Picked up a couple of pieces from OA today + one from local reefers (reefjunkie + robynr) and had a pleasant suprise when I can home.
All of these pics are taken within 2 hours of acclimating so we're still a little shrivelly ;)

Please note the DIY frag rack....that's what happens when you run out of room! Anyone know where to purchase one?

And when I came home --- one of my clowns has figured out what the anemone is for - he is LOVVVING it!
I only bought it a ouple of days ago so it's still hiding in a cave but he doesn't mind - he'll love it in the dark just the same.

Watch the ric rock. The rics were attached with a cheap glue almost looks like silicone. I purchased some and when I got home I deattached all of them quite easily and reglued them. Looks like you got some sweet pieces thou.

Oh, are they likely to fall off?

I'm really happy with the piece, but I don't mind regluing it if need be

Second from the back on the left = love at first sight!

I think I had a piece of that same one this past summer. If its the same one you can expect the tips to purple up and get this very pretty blue sheen! Either way they are all fantastic scores!

I also laughed at the "Not New".

I think they are attached using glue sticks of some kind. I was wondering myself if hotglue is reef safe? I reglued mine too.

Yeah - both of those lighter pices actually have GREAT colour that I can't seem to catch on the camera (too much light?) One has rose tips and the other a great lilac colour, I think they are milli's right?

I used to just tie my rics and mushrooms down with fishing line/zip ties then cutting them off a couple of weeks afterwards.

I superglued one that came off in the bag to another rock and it's held for the last couple hours but it seems to be that they like to sneak away at night, I might try tying them like you suggested, or maybe bridal veil? (Do you think my mother would murder me if i used an actual piece of MY bridal veil??) .... I think I'll just try at the fabric store heh

Anyone have any idea what the midde frag on the rack is? (the red one w/ darker polyps) Poccilopora maybe? With the polyps open it has a much 'softer" look overall now.

Very nice pieces, especially that ric rock. Love millis too so it's all good. The best, absolutely best piece, of course, is the coral with "Not New" growing on its side. That is sooooo cool & unique. If you can develop that technique to say "Ocean Aquatics" or other logos, you'll make a mint:biggrin:

BTW, nice meeting you & your hubby at the store today.

Best thing I have found for the bridal veil method is a piece of a bath poof. You can buy one cheap and it has yards of stretchy mesh.
