Hey im wondering what a good skimmer for my 29 gallon reef would be. I Currently have a prizm pro on it it works good but its so big, and i dont have a sump or anything, just wondering what people prefer for a smaller tank like this let me know! Also is it worth drilling? should i maybe think aboiut going sump? all feedback is well needed!
I currently have a 28G bowfront, newly developing reef and use an Aqua C Remora. I find it does an excellent job. I have the pre-skimmer add-on but I found it took up too much real estate in the tank so I removed it. Aside from that, I find it one of the best HOB skimmers.
I've never used this particular model but how about a Deltec MCE300 (http://www.jlaquatics.com/phpstore/store_pages/details/skimmers.php?product_ID=DD-P0300)
But then I'm biased as I've been running Deltecs for a good few years now...

I have a 28 gallon nano, and know most people will bash the skimmer I have. It is the seaclone 100, the only think I changed was putting on a proper air valve and I can say it works great. Easy to adjust and pulls alot of very dark skimmate. Don't know why people bash it, but mine works great.
