I got up this morning to find my green BTA stuck in the power head for the 2nd time in a week. I just got it a couple weeks ago and it still hasn't found a place in the tank that it likes... now I fear this will do it in.

Carefully pry it out without tearing any tissue, it should do fine. Keep it somewhere safe for a while with an upside down basket or such. My RBTA got sucked into my tunze stream and after an hour of extracting it, it came back fine in a few days.

And if they had brains, then that would hurt!! :)

Here's what it looks like after extraction... any bets on if it'll survive?

I have Koralia PHs like that, I've heard ppl talking about "prefilters" for their PHs....do you know if they make them for that brand? I'd like to get an anemone but I don't want that to happen

Excellent pictures btw, very gory lol

It looks pretty rough right now, but it might very well survive. Follow Aquattro's advice, that's about all you can do.

Must have been something in the air this week, I had two BTA's wander into powerheads this week. One, my rose, hadn't moved in 2 years and suddenly it decided it needed a haircut. Both looked pretty rough initially but after a couple days now I'm pretty sure both will recover. So hopefully yours does too. Good luck.

That PH looks pretty low wouldnt take much for an anem to wonder ontop. Just my 2 pennies.

That's so sad! I hope it recovers.

It was actually much higher when he crawled on. I moved it to get a bit of a better picture.

The brainless wonder got stuck in my fluval intake last night but luckily I was around and caught it before he was in too deep. Seems to be perking up a bit today so I am actually hopeful now.

Looks like a full recovery. BW is a little smaller than when I first got him, but looks good now at any rate...

I have a JBJ 24 gallon cube with 72 watts of lighting, would a BTA survive with that or would it eventually die?
